"La Pentolaccia" restaurant was founded in 1968 In Erice, a typical medieval town in the province of Trapani.
is situated in an ancient monastery built between 1612 and 1617. Until a few decades
ago, the monastery was home to a closed order of monks who were famous for their
typical pastries, the "dolci di badia"
The medium-high class restaurant has hosted many famous people including many Nobel prize winners (for physics and medicine) due to its vicinity to the Ettore Maiorana centre.
The rustic, elegant restaurant is carefully furnished in all its details. The ceiling with its wooden beams is beautiful as is the valuable furniture which enhances the elegant style of the restaurant.
The Pollina brothers personally take care of their guests, offering excellent dishes created by their chef Salvo Ruisi; regional dishes which are full of imagination and creativity and are always innovative and delicious.
We would like to draw your attention to our starter dish, the "delizia di Venere"; our pasta dish of ravioli filled with grouper fish and dressed with swordfish, capers, mint, aubergine and prawns; our main courses of prawn skewers, squid "alla palermitana", and swordfish dumplings "alla trinacria". Our desserts include hot ricotta cassatele, our almond semifreddo our pistacchio di bronte semifreddo our ricotta soufflè with amaretti and a hot chocolate cake that melts in the mouth.
